Multiple major construction projects are up for discussion at Tuesdays Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors meeting. The board will be asked to vote on items that would allow the countys new juvenile hall, Columbia pool repairs and replacement of the Lime Kiln Road bridge over Curtis Creek to move forward. Now being called the Mother Lode Regional Detention Center, the countys future22,000 square-foot juvenile hall will hold 30 beds at its proposed location off Old Wards Ferry Road. The county proposes awarding a $595,366 contract to Vanir Construction Management for assistance with bidding for the main construction, record keeping, reviewing bids, construction management, inspections, safety and quality control. Vanir was initially hired to oversee the $20 million project in January with a $195,000 contract to handle initial construction management duties.
